A story of chance encounters, random acts, and the strangers who drift in and out of our lives.
Tenth was born out of an overwhelming sense of sadness and loss. It’s one of the few times I’ve been compelled to channel such emotions through filmmaking. The short was selected by Cameron Crowe, Danny Devito, Bono, Annette Benning and Mike Myers as a winner of Kevin Spacey’s Triggerstreet.com film competition. Turn up the volume for maximum effect.

That’s the best thing I’ve seen on YouTube in a while. The story, acting, and everything about it was amazing. It’s scary what could completely change a normal day.

okay I take my comment back that every single vid are so enjoyable this one was really emotional to me. It’s actually really sad to be a person like him, to know that a woman is flying to L.A and then something happens like that.. even you don’t really know the person at all.. anyway.. but good thing about that is the story and that we don’t know what happened to them..

Mr. Koval, I happened to stumbel upon your videos on youtube. I decided to watch one and see what it was like. I liked it so that I decided to watch another, and another, and another. I liked them all and I recall thinking that this guy Matt Koval has some real talent. Then I got to this short film. Man … this one is exceptionally good. I was shocked, it was so deep, and very well made. I didn’t see that coming at all. Made me think about life… I was quite moved.
I just wanted to let you know that I think you are an amazing film maker and that you indeed have true talent, something I don’t say to just anybody when it comes to film…

best online video I’ve seen.
and I’m a Jonas Brothers obsessed fan, and seeing any videos with them in it would be the best.
but honestly, this beat them by a lot.

That video was very touching. I am amazed of it. But did they die? Sorry if I sound nieve, but I didn’t get that certain part. Well, I’m guessing on her trip to the job interview (or whatever it was) the place she was in exploded…? Well, can’t say I didn’t try. I thought this was a work of art and it was the best short- film (or whatever) I’ve seen. Keep up the work with that touch of art you have, Matt.

Dear Mr. Koval,
That was so deeply touching. I really really am a big fan of your videos but this has so much emotion I feel the emotion. I really hope you become a famous movie director because many people have that title, but not many deserve it. You do.

Brandon in Canada eh?
An insightful and meaningful take on a tragic day in the United States. The shockwaves were heard and felt around the world.
The funny clips are great to entertain people with, but when you are given an opportunity to touch the world, this is how to do it.
Matt, with your talent and incredible eye behind the story… Change the world… One video at a time.

Although it has been many years since September 11th, 2001 occurred, it lives in the hearts and minds of each of us. With this poignant, simple and very personal story, you bring it very palpably into each person’s life in a unique and deeply meaningful way. You have chosen characters like us, just everyday folk, living their lives not suspecting that the end is so near. The child’s feelings are the one’s we remember and the empathy on the face of the dry cleaner as he sits in the subway alone with the baseball glove in his lap, directed on a mission of mercy. Lovely and very sad. Thank you for this. It reveals much about you.

Matt, I can´t keep watching your videos. I found one (Randy) advertised on youtube.com.
This video keeps me thinking about life. It´s really touching. LIfe is a gift and we dont know when will be gone, then we need to live and love family, friends and appreciate life. That´s a great video. Thank you for sharing with us and hope you will continue doing deep-meaning videos to make people think about everything. You have a talent, a gift. Do your best to exceed your own expectations. Thank you.
Regards from El Salvador.

That was very moving, i had chills at the end. Great short movie. It’s a sobering reminder. The only thing I would have to say could have been a cool touch is if a tungsten or something kind of film to give the picture a greenish or bluer look when he is on the subway and have the dry cleaners seen stay the same it originally was. It would have been a nice contrast as a before and after where the dry cleaner was normal everyday, but there was something wrong on the subway.
